My wife said to me as we watched this tonight that she had a new insight - that you can grow up in the Church and not have ever partaken of the fruit.
It isn't easy to be at the tree of life and see so many people mocking how you live and remain there. It also is not easy to have never partaken of the fruit, to see all the scorn of those who have, and understand why anyone would want to. But, even still, it is worth it to do what is necessary to find your way to the tree and partake and remain.
Please, I beg you, if you are partaking of the fruit now, do not heed the scorn of the world around you. Remain true to your covenants. It is worth every drop of your effort.
Please, if you are away from the tree or have left it, start following the commandments again. Grasp hold of the rod of iron again. Find your way to the tree. It is worth every drop of your effort.
Please, if you are in the great and spacious building, leave the luxury and comfort behind and find your way to the rod. It is worth it.
Partaking of the tree and remaining at it is worth every ounce, every tiny drop of effort any of us have.
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” —Matthew 7:7
